Boat Sales Jobs description

Boat sales involve the selling of new and used boats to prospective buyers. The primary responsibility of a boat sales specialist is to ensure that all sales targets for boats and yachts are met and exceeded.

A boat sales specialist recommends different types of boats to customers as per their needs and specifications. Other important duties include meeting assigned sales quota, preparing and implementing a marketing plan in order to increase sales, and communicating responses to customers in a timely manner. The job also involves a thorough understanding of purchase and sales contracts as well as listing and deposit requirements. A boat sales specialist also organizes and conducts sales training programs for brokers and maintains all marketing and selling expenditure within budgets.

For a boat sales job, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not mandatory. Previous marine selling experience is desirable. Other prerequisites of the job are good oral and written communication, computer and negotiation skills.
