Boat Sales Jobs description
Boat sales involve the selling of new and used boats to prospective buyers. The primary responsibility of a boat sales specialist is to ensure that all sales targets for boats and yachts are met and exceeded.A boat sales specialist recommends different types of boats to customers as per their needs and specifications. Other important duties include meeting assigned sales quota, preparing and implementing a marketing plan in order to increase sales, and communicating responses to customers in a timely manner. The job also involves a thorough understanding of purchase and sales contracts as well as listing and deposit requirements. A boat sales specialist also organizes and conducts sales training programs for brokers and maintains all marketing and selling expenditure within budgets.
For a boat sales job, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not mandatory. Previous marine selling experience is desirable. Other prerequisites of the job are good oral and written communication, computer and negotiation skills.
