Account Executive, eHow (NYC)
eHow, one of the largest DIY and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a passionate and ambitious Account Executive to join our growing team as a brand evangelist. Working in tandem with the General Manager, VP of Content, VP of Editorial and Head of Sales, this driven individual will have the power of the eHow executive team behind them to deliver smart, out-of the-box solutions for leading advertisers.
We’re looking for someone eager to hit the ground running with a long list of contacts and proven track record to bring new sponsorships and partnership opportunities to qualifying advertisers. This is a chance to create, champion and close large deals on a site with massive traffic, quality content, and an enthused, intent driven community.
Responsibilities:
Work side-by-side with the eHow team to craft compelling packages and sales Opportunities
Relentlessly pitch eHow to appropriate advertisers across Finance, CPG, Tech, Lifestyle and associated verticals
Respond to appropriate RFPs from advertisers looking to reach the eHow audience
Create advertising sales strategies, proposals, and presentations for new accounts
Engage and strategize with agencies and clients to determine their business needs and formulate ad sales programs
Establish and cultivate strong relationships by conducting face-to-face sales calls and client meetings
Proactively communicate account forecasts and sales information to sales management
Coordinate with editorial and product teams to ensure sponsored programs. Launch meeting client expectations
Own client relationship throughout campaigns
Monitor programs to ensure delivery
Qualifications:
2 years of experience managing internet advertising accounts (ideally, working for a publisher in a related space)
Strong presentation and closing skills based on field experience with major accounts
Demonstrated ability to craft and tell a compelling story around passion points
Strong analytical skills, proficiency with Excel and experience with CRM Systems (Saleforce.com)
