.COM. Working in tandem with the General Manager, VP of Content and Director of Business Operations, this driven individual will have the power of the LIVE
STRONG
.COM executive team behind them to deliver smart, out-of the-box solutions for leading advertisers.
For the right individual, this role will have tremendous upside – as they will be primarily responsible for growing current direct sales through custom packages and programs. In addition, they will be responsible for demand side platform and agency trading desk relationships, managing overall yield and optimizing monetization across various revenue sources, as well as prospecting and on-boarding new partners who can help to drive incremental revenue for the business.
We’re looking for someone eager to hit the ground running with a long list of contacts and proven track record to bring new sponsorships and partnership opportunities to qualifying advertisers. This is a chance to create, champion and close large deals on a site with massive traffic, quality content, robust tools and an active community.
Responsibilities:
Work side-by-side with the LIVE
STRONG
.COM team to craft compelling packages and sales opportunities
Relentlessly pitch LIVE
STRONG
.COM to appropriate advertisers across pharma, CPG, retail and other health and wellness categories
Respond to appropriate RFPs from advertisers looking to reach the LIVE
STRONG
.COM audience
Create advertising sales strategies, proposals, and presentations for core and new accounts
Engage and strategize with agencies and clients to determine their business needs and formulate ad sales programs
Establish and cultivate strong relationships by conducting face-to-face sales calls and client meetings
Proactively communicate account forecasts and sales information to sales management
Business development acumen; the ability to consult with marketers and in effect treat them as programmers who are creating content that will leverage the power of their brand
Coordinate with editorial and product teams to ensure sponsored programs launch meeting client expectations
Own client relationship throughout campaigns
Monitor programs to ensure delivery
Analyze and effectively communicate client program results vs. eCPM goals, based on inventory performance and reporting data
Contribute to internal product development planning to help optimize ad and sponsorship placements and opportunities across site and apps
Qualifications:
5 years of experience managing internet advertising accounts (ideally, working for an ad network or large web publisher with an emphasis on Health, Fitness and Pharmaceutical Advertising)
Strong understanding of Internet advertising a must (account set up, inventory and tag management, click reconciliation, etc.)
Strong presentation and closing skills based on field experience with major accounts
Demonstrated ability to craft and tell a compelling story around passion points
Strong analytical skills, proficiency with Excel and experience with CRM systems (Saleforce.com)
