Job Profile
The Regional Sales Manager (s) (RSM) will utilize a consultative selling approach and be responsible for identifying and closing new customers and growing existing customer base. In this role you will be responsible for new and current sales targets for regional areas, including existing product offerings and new NPI’s. We have a number of positions Nationwide. Essential Responsibilities Identify and develop new customers and grow existing customer base including end user and channels to company products and services for market share in Industrial Services for engineered solutions, new product, replacements, repairs and Field Services Develop customer relationships at the transactional level with key decision makers and vertically integrate accounts to upper management and executive levels, continuously moving accounts from transactional to enterprise selling level Promote GE MDS leading technologies to customers Grow existing customer base including end user and channels to company products and services Meet monthly, quarterly sales order quotas set by company for assigned territory Develop and provide customer presentations to convey GE MDS Services Sales portfolio of services and solutions to specialty segments capabilities geared to specific customer targets Accurately forecast opportunities including orders and sales for a given sales territory in GE's CRM system on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion Provide weekly status reports Works closely with other GE businesses Sales teams to leverage technology and customer knowledge Work closely with Product Management, Application Engineers and Technology to provide the best customer solutions Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet corporate growth goals and objectives Formulate and implement long-term strategies and tactical sales plans to achieve expected growth in geography Identify product requirements specific to market needs and provide inputs to product management team Development of long-term customer relationships through the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs Grow revenues by identifying additional business opportunities Represents company at trade show association and application specific events Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree or other combination of education and minimum 3 year industry work experience Minimum 5 years of prior sales success in industrial communications market, ie. Telecom, Oil & Gas or other industry Minimum 5 years consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation Minimum 1 year experience in Wellhead, Pipeline and Heavy Automation Minimum 1 year experience in CRM is a plus ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Availability and ability to travel within your specified geographic region up to 70% GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work.
