Dental Sales Jobs
A dental sales job involves the selling of diverse dental products and services like pharmaceuticals (anesthetics, antibiotics), equipment (chairs, surgical instruments), technology (orthodontics, implants), consumables (toothpaste, mouthwash) and services (IT support systems, laboratory services) etc. to dental surgeries, laboratories, retail counters and wholesale establishments.
The most important responsibility of a dental sales person is to maintain and grow current accounts and try to prospect new clients. It is the duty of a dental sales person to sell products and services to dentists and dental and oral surgeons, and help them to increase profitability, educate their patients and promote their practice. Additionally, a dental sales job may also involve giving sales presentations, building a strong sales appointment schedule, developing and implementing sales strategies, closing on-the-spot sales and collecting and analyzing data regarding competitor information and market trends.
To apply for a dental sales job, a candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute. Prior professional selling experience is favorable. Tenacity, self-motivation and strong territory management and computer skills are also essential.
