Sales Executive Jobs
A sales executive works under the supervision of a sales manager or supervisor to assist in the sales efforts of a company. Irrespective of the product or service he/she may sell, the primary responsibility of a sales executive is to maintain the existing customer base of the company as well as prospect for new business opportunities.
A sales executive may be responsible for internal or external sales of the company. He/she may meet the sales targets of the company through telephone sales or in-person visits. Other duties of a sales executive include offering proactive advice to customers, producing customer contracts and following up with clients for completion of sales. A sales executive may work as part of the sales team to meet and exceed the performance and sales targets of the company. A sales executive should also possess complete product knowledge and should be able to handle all types of customer sales.
A sales executive job requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Prior experience in selling is desirable. The candidate should be self motivated and outgoing and should possess effective selling, communication and negotiation skills.
