Sales Account Manager Jobs
A sales account manager job involves managing established account bases as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities. A sales account manager is well experienced in marketing and product development and successfully implements an effective client engagement strategy in the assigned accounts.
Other responsibilities of a sales account manager job include implementing new product launches, executing new product ideas, generating leads, following up on new prospects and providing customer and competitor feedback to the management. A sales account manager may also undertake training of new staff and be required to give sales presentations and proposals. Forecasting business and engaging in technical discussions with clients may also be part of a sales account manager’s job.
The minimum educational requirement for a sales account manager job is a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business or related fields from an accredited institute. Prior account management experience is desirable. Other prerequisites of the job are excellent leadership, communication, organizational, planning, presentation and interpersonal skills.
