Sales Executive Jobs description
A sales executive works under the supervision of a sales manager or supervisor to assist in the sales efforts of a company. Irrespective of the product or service he/she may sell, the primary responsibility of a sales executive is to maintain the existing customer base of the company as well as prospect for new business opportunities.A sales executive may be responsible for internal or external sales of the company. He/she may meet the sales targets of the company through telephone sales or in-person visits. Other duties of a sales executive include offering proactive advice to customers, producing customer contracts and following up with clients for completion of sales. A sales executive may work as part of the sales team to meet and exceed the performance and sales targets of the company. A sales executive should also possess complete product knowledge and should be able to handle all types of customer sales.
A sales executive job requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Prior experience in selling is desirable. The candidate should be self motivated and outgoing and should possess effective selling, communication and negotiation skills.
