The primary role of the Pricing Manager is to coordinate pricing activities and provide the related pricing analysis and support. Responsibilities include leading adherence to the pricing policies and procedures, evaluating price increases, securing approval of new product pricing and GTN strategy, and managing the price increase proposal and approval process. The pricing manager is expected to be a subject matter expert on gross to net sales and will report to the Sr. Director – Strategic Pricing & Contracting. This position will provide support for all Teva US Products.
Major duties and responsibilities
Consult with business units on pricing strategies and proposals. Calculate the financial impacts of proposed pricing actions and coordinate pricing implementation.
Manage pricing policies and procedures and ensure adherence. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure pricing actions are implemented timely and accurately. Manage federal and state pricing transparency policy submissions.
Forecast and communicate projected AMP, ASP, Best Price, CPI penalty and the Federal URA. Provide expertise to product management on Medicaid and Federal pricing, ASP, and Reimbursement
Develop analysis tools to evaluate pricing proposals. Effectively utilize existing data and systems to support the pricing function. Responsible for building and maintaining the pricing database and addressing all pricing issues as they arise
Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA preferred
Minimum 5-7 years in two or more of the following:
Finance, Accounting, or Analytical Role
Pharmaceutical Experience (Sales, Market Access)
Contracting or Pricing Experience
Specific type of experience required:
Forecasting and predictive modeling experience.
Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the payer segments.
Market Access, contracting, business analysis, market research, pharmaceutical sales or finance experience required.
Specific type of experience preferred:
·Prior Market Access, pricing or pharmaceutical government reporting experience.
·Strong financial analysis skills including extensive familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
·Ability to prepare and present results to senior management.
·Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements as it pertains to contracting, third-party payer, and government pricing environment
