Project Management / Engineering or Geologist 

  • Lead environmental investigations and remediation projects to include directing the day-to-day activities; schedule and coordinate task resources, and solicit guidance from other senior level technical staff
  • Lead the development of CERCLA Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Proposed Plans, Records of Decisions, and Remedial Designs and/or their RCRA or State equivalent; this includes the coordination of teams for figure generation, data management, work plans, and/or other required supporting documents
  • Office work includes, but is not limited to: subcontractor coordination; report writing; summarizing data in tables and figures; cost estimation; permit applications; environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remedial systems; remedial system performance optimization and evaluation; and other duties related to active remedial projects
  • Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, work plans, design documents, and construction documents in support of engineering design from pilot to full-scale remediation system design
  • Evaluate data to (1) support conceptual site models for environmental investigations, (2) delineate the nature and extent of contamination, and (3) modify and optimize post-remedy long-term-monitoring program
  • Perform project management including proposal preparation, reporting and billing


Business Development / Revenue Generation   

  • Analyze current customer base to identify potential growth opportunities and secure repeat business
  • Cold call potential new clients to generate new revenue
  • Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with management to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with customers, outside business contacts, and company stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues and peers on the sales, marketing, and product development teams to improve overall customer experience and satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions
  • Analyze current and past financial data
  • Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent salesmanship


  • BS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or related major
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the environmental investigation and remediation industry plus at least 5 years sales experience selling environmental or professional engineering
  • Proven track record of developing relationships and new business as well as exceeding revenue goals
  • Previous experience with subcontractor procurement and management (e.g., preparation of request for bids, preparation of scope of work, ensure work is completed in accordance with scope of work and H&S requirements)
  • Experience working in site remediation in New Jersey under the LSRP program or Pennsylvania under the PADEP Act 2 preferred
  • Experience with permitting a plus
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER is also a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of PADEP, DNREC or NJDEB environmental regulations
  • Working familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, or State level regulated remediation (e.g., State Voluntary Remediation Programs)
  • Ability to travel and perform limited field work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to balance a diverse and changing workload
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, hardworking, and have strong written and technical skills
