Description

The Specialty Large Group Sales Executive - Employer Group works with agents and consultants to sell Specialty (Dental, Vision, Life) products to new and existing large group accounts (generally 100 subscribers).

Responsibilities

The Specialty Large Group Sales Executive works with agents and consultants to identify and target prospective clients to sell Specialty health insurance products in a specified territory or geographic area. They are responsible for finding leads through prospecting and networking events. Updates external employers on Humana capabilities to create business opportunities and/or enhance the perception and understanding of Humana capabilities. Delivers organized, polished presentations of solutions, with benefits tied to the employer's business needs. Shares relevant industry and competitive data within and across business units and segments to support the development of new product initiatives. Maximizes sales by articulating how Humana's capabilities can contribute to employers' long-term strategies. Cultivates strong, productive and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers focusing on the larger or more complex accounts/prospects. Implements strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in assigned areas. Identifies and capitalizes on emerging trends in the marketplace by participating in community and industry events as a Humana representative.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for 100 sales for new business Specialty Sales, meeting or exceed quotas.

Cultivate and manage pipeline across all lines of Specialty business (dental, vision, life).

Tracks all activities in company's CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly.

In medical markets, acts as market based SME on all Large Group Specialty new sales and cross-sales.

Collaborate with Large Group Sales Executive, Agency Relationship Manager and Client Executive to expand broker/client hierarchy distribution in new markets.

Create targeted agency plans for priority broker agencies in market.

Promote clinical, wellness and integrated service approach as a unique differentiator in the market.

Work closely with the market team to support, mentor and motivate the team to create a strong culture and drive positive results.

Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort.

Builds Brand across the market in conjunction with outside organizations and key constituents.

Develop, strengthen and maintain relationships with national, regional and local firms who specialize in the Specialty Large Group Segment.

Identify other strategic relationships in the market and develop those circles of influence to drive business to Humana, Inc.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

5 years' experience selling Specialty (Dental, Vision, Life) products to large employers

Active Life & Health Insurance License

Consultative selling background and experience

Experience influencing C-Suite Executives either directly or through a broker medium

Executive presence

Business and Financial Acumen

Background working and establishing relationships with Brokers

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Presentation skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Self-starter, who also knows how to work well with a team to achieve ambitious goals

Knowledge with Financial Reporting and Analysis

Ability to regularly travel within the state of Georgia

Valid Driver's License

Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.

A dedicated home office space, with a locked door, lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to demonstrate goal achievement, growth projections across product lines or customer base

Additional Information

Work shift will be in Eastern Time Zone
