As a part of the Best Buy Business team, the Associate Manager of Appliances Business Development is directly responsible for the development and successful execution of our Appliances sales strategies, beginning in our MDU/Builder Vertical (as a primary focus and strong dotted line to the MDU leader), and leaning into Education, Hospitality, Healthcare and our Enterprise business. This role will also be responsible for helping our sales team identify and directly engage in sales opportunities for Appliances. They will work directly with our Vendor partners in a way that we can substantially begin to maximize our Appliances business as a component of our overall business.

This role will be client-facing and will require a high level of business acumen, proven client-relationship success, and an in depth understanding of Best Buy and Geek Squad capabilities. In addition, the Associate Manager of MDU Solution Sales will be responsible for developing a greater knowledge of our Appliances offerings across the channel, and for developing talent in this space so that we can expand further in the coming years. This role will not have an individual sales quota, but they will be responsible for the overall Appliances sales growth of the entire business unit, beginning with the MDU/Builder vertical, and then expanding beyond that once we have momentum in that vertical. The STI component of this role is based on the company plan, but individual BBYB metrics with be 1) Dept 4 revenue performance and growth, 2) MDU mix of appliances and revenue growth, 3) Overall Appliances program execution (ie builder pricing programs, supply chain, OEM strategy, etc. in partnership with CM and G2M team). The desired goal of this role would be to lead us to a place where we have the business and the business case to support the development of one of these roles per vertical, as they all have unique business development requirements, vendor partnerships, and industry specific knowledge needed to be successful in the vertical. This role will report into the Sr. Mgr. of National Key Initiatives and Client Development.

Sales Execution and Growth Serves as first point of contact and expert resource for Account Managers/Sales Leaders related to new or expanding Appliances opportunities and capabilities. The most important responsibility of the role is Appliances sales growth in MDU/Builder and across the division.

Develops specific Appliances sales goals and performance expectations for the MDU/Builder sales team, and then expanding into the other vertical teams, and creates mechanisms for measurement and assessment of performance.

Collaborates with the Sales Leaders to develop team-specific Appliances roadmaps and strategic growth plans in the Appliances space.

Works to expand vendor relationships, program and solution development, and strategic partnerships with the sales team.

Provides regular and consistent coaching, performance feedback, and recognition for Account Managers and Sales Leaders, in partnership with the Senior Sales Leaders.

Ensures sales teams are consistently expanding and applying knowledge of Best Buy’s Services portfolio and capabilities to deliver Appliances sales growth.

Analyzes results within key initiatives and applies appropriate response, feedback, and/or action plans.

Relationship Management Communication – develops rhythms and methods for keeping BBYB leadership, sales/support teams, and cross-functional partners in the D2C channel informed of Appliances and Services initiatives, progress, and opportunities in the Vertical and overall BBYB space.

Partners alongside and engages directly with the Account leadership of large clients and develops strong working relationships through the development and implementation of their Appliances and services solutions.

Expands our reach within our largest and most successful clients by expanding our Appliances business and developing our talent to do so.

Basic Requirements: 5 or more years Services, Retail, or Sales related experience

2 or more years Appliance sales and project coordination experience

2 or more years Relationship development and direct client accountability in a selling organization
