Insurance Sales Jobs description
Insurance sales jobs involve selling of various types of insurance policies like health, life, property, automotive, accident etc. to individuals and businesses on behalf of insurance companies. It is the duty of an insurance sales job holder to promote the sale of insurance plans by advising clients about the advantages, disadvantages and unique features of different policies.An insurance sales person sells and closes deals by building and maintaining existing customer relationships while seeking new and prospective clients. Other duties include calculating premiums, establishing payment methods, ensuring that policy requirements are fulfilled, monitoring insurance claims, performing policy rewrites, discussing coverage and providing sales quotes to prospective policyholders.
To apply for an insurance sales job, an applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Prior insurance sales experience is a plus. Current license to sell insurance is also important. The applicant must have the ability to read and interpret insurance contracts and governmental regulations. Other prerequisites of the job are effective communication, computer, problem solving and relationship building skills.
