Medical Equipment Sales Jobs description

Medical equipment sales job involves promotion and selling of medical equipment like surgical devices, implants, imaging and radiotherapy equipment etc to hospitals, private practices and retail counters. The primary responsibility of a medical equipment sales job representative is to generate new and repeat business by maintaining existing accounts, prospecting new clients and networking throughout the medical equipment industry.

A medical equipment sales person calls on physicians, hospital administrators and clinic directors to promote the company’s products. Other duties include maintaining contact with customers, developing technical expertise and sales proficiency, staying informed on new products and technologies, transporting medical equipment safely and submitting regular sales reports. A medical equipment sales specialist may also conduct in-services, seminars and demonstrations to physicians, sometimes in the presence of patients.

Medical equipment sales jobs are available to candidates with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Prior sales experience in similar field is a plus. The ideal candidate should also be able to imbibe specialist product knowledge and possess effective presentation, communication, computer and negotiation skills.
