Advertising Sales Jobs description
Candidates in advertising sales jobs have the responsibility of selling advertising and sponsorship space and creating new advertising opportunities. Generating advertisement revenue by managing and growing existing accounts as well as creating new business is the most important part of an advertising sales job.Other responsibilities of an advertising sales job include helping to develop advertising strategy, helping build brand awareness, developing and delivering pitches for new advertising business, protecting and increasing existing advertising and identifying new advertising markets. Preparing media kits, sales and advertising literature etc may also be part of an advertising sales job. Additionally, the advertising sales specialist may also be required to attend training workshops, sales meetings and industry trade shows to network with existing contacts and develop new ones.
Advertising sales jobs are open to candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in advertising, business or similar field from an accredited institute. Other desirable qualities include sales ability, persuasiveness, tenacity, creative communication skills and computer literacy. Working knowledge of SalesForce.com software is an added bonus.
