Biotech Sales Jobs description
Biotech sales jobs involve the selling and promotion of biotechnological products, or services related to the biotechnology fields. Biotech sales jobs are most commonly available with pharmaceutical and biotech companies.The main responsibility of a biotech sales specialist is to develop, manage and execute sales strategies to market a company’s biotech products to research laboratories, hospital laboratories, university medical centers etc. Initiating and developing effective relationships with pharmaceutical, government, biotech and academic accounts is also important. Other duties include meeting assigned goals, managing existing accounts, supporting corporate initiatives, and acting as liaison between company and the physicians located within the assigned territories.
The minimum qualification required for a biotech sales job is a bachelor’s degree in science from an accredited college or university. Pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience is preferred. Other prerequisites are effective verbal and written communication and problem solving skills, and working knowledge of reimbursement issues.
