What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Manager, Sales Planning is a high-visibility, cross-functional role responsible for driving Pure’s annual fiscal and ongoing planning processes across the entire sales organization, in conjunction with Go-To-Market leaders, Business Optimization, Sales Compensation and Finance teams. As part of the Global Sales Operations team, this role will regularly engage with sales and business leadership regarding the evolution of Pure’s GTM coverage models, resource allocation, territory design, quota setting and ongoing reporting/data analysis.

As Senior Manager, Sales Planning, you will:

Work closely with Field Sales Leadership, Finance, and Business Optimization to develop

and execute the annual WW GTM operating plan, including organizational structure,

headcount requirements, territory optimization and quota setting.

Provide recommendations regarding optimal resource prioritization and allocation,

account coverage, etc.

Support executive presentations around how the annual operating plan was developed, rationale of underlying assumptions, and identified risk / upside levers.

Drive the ad hoc analyses to assess and support an evolving GTM strategy, including: segmentation, verticalization, territory optimization, headcount ratios, productivity, etc.

Recommend and lead the execution of various projects relating to the evolution of Pure’s GTM and coverage strategy.

Support additional ad hoc data request, analyses and executive presentations.

What You Bring to the Team

As an individual, you thrive in navigating ambiguity and you adapt quickly to a changing environment.

You balance critical, long-term thinking about how to scale the business with the ability to execute tactically. You have exceptional analytical abilities and strong business acumen, and you recognize that sales planning must be rooted in data.

The information you manage and make available, and the insights that you can extract from that data, are integral to supporting the business process and enabling information-based decision making by our sales and business leaders.

6 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Strategy, Sales FP&A,

Management Consulting, or similar field in organizations with strong exposure to GTM strategy.

Experience with all aspects of the end-to-end the sales planning process.

An understanding of sales productivity, new hire productivity ramps, and quota setting.

Experience building complex and dynamic models for scenario planning.

Proven ability to dissect complex problems, develop solutions, and craft information-based recommendations into easily digestible messages, communications, and executive presentations.

A highly collaborative style with strong influencing skills.

Experience with the Salesforce.com; Anaplan experience a strong plus.

Power user proficiency with the MS Office suite (particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)

Must be able to work in the US without visa sponsorship
